We kunnen het altijd beter doen.

Also when it comes to leadership.

In what way are love and leadership related? In all ways, according to us. In its most broad meaning, love is not a soft, romantic concept. It is agapè (Latin: caritas), honestly caring about the other, thus something that is directed at the group. It is an active aim, with a hard, dedicated core.

Virtuous leadership and governing based on values are related to it. Each organization can do it and some organizations have been doing it for years already. Of course, it is not easy. But it serves a good cause.

How this can be realized, is what we research. This way we connect the economics principles of business with a new approach. Managers and directors are facing a mayor challenge at this moment: make sure the company is successful now and create fertile ground for a future proof business model. Our society asks for it. Your people do too. The measure and map is: I truly care. This extends beyond having a purpose which legitimates the existence of the company within society.

Leadership from love can be researched and that is what we do. It is also measurable. Here we distinguish four aspects: empathy, success, truth and sense of community. With this test you can see how you score on these. The outcome is a score which gives an impression of the extent to which love exists within the organization. It is not indicative of good or bad.

άγάπη - a'ga‧pe
Love is a layered concept and has several meanings. Derived from the ancient Greeks, we have Eros (romantic love), Storge (love between parents and children; affection), Philia (friendship) and Agapè (love for (near or far) others). Agapè was often translated to Caritas in latin, charity.
